The RB Leipzig club announced on Friday that the Portugal striker Andre Silva signs a five-year contract with RB Leipzig from Eintracht Frankfurt. As per German daily, Frankfurt was paid 23 million euros by Leipzig for Andre Silva, who will be paid around four million per season. Andre tweeted, “I want to thank Eintracht for this journey! And to announce my new chapter in @DieRotenDullen (RB Leipzig).” He has also made three appearances for Portugal side off the bench at Euro 2021 and is expected to play Champions League football next season with Leipzig after Frankfurt missed their qualification.

Silva had played the last 20 minutes of Portugal’s 1-0 defeat to Belgium in the round of 16 of the Euro 2020. RB Leipzig finished second in the Bundesliga last season. This football side also has a new head coach Jesse Marsch who replaced Julian Nagelsmann, now in charge of champions Bayern Munich. The RB Leipzig club also tweeted Andre Silva’s statement, “I’m really excited for the new challenge at RB Leipzig. The club has big goals and ambitions and I want to help them achieve those. I want to play at the highest level – the UCL and I can do that regularly here.”
