Al-Ittihad to reopen talks with Manchester City for Ederson; Kevin De Bruyne not involved

Al-Ittihad plans to resume negotiations with Manchester City this week for the transfer of goalkeeper Ederson. Manchester City is holding out for a fee in the region of €50 million. Ederson has reportedly accepted the move to Al-Ittihad, but discussions with City are ongoing.

Contrary to some reports, Kevin De Bruyne is not part of the current talks. The claim that personal terms have been agreed between De Bruyne and Al-Ittihad is not accurate.

Ederson’s potential departure has been a major story this summer. Should he leave, Manchester City will need to find a replacement. One possibility is PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, though it remains uncertain if he is a feasible target for the Premier League champions.

Previously, Ederson had agreed to join Al-Nassr, but that transfer fell through. He is now open to moving to Al-Ittihad, provided the clubs can agree on a transfer fee.
