A wonderful comeback keeps Man City alive in the title race

Manchester City defeated Tottenham Hotspur by 4-2 to cut the point gap to 5 points.

Manchester City made an exquisite comeback to win it against Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League on Thursday night, 20th January. The game was played at Etihad Stadium (Manchester City’s home ground). Manchester City were losing in the first half but won it in the second to take all the three points from the game.

Tottenham Hotspur scored the first goal of the game in the 45th minute before they doubled their lead two minutes later. Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring and right back Emerson Royal made it 2-0 in the first half for Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs were on driver’s seat before they faced Julian Alvarez’s named speed breaker. The World Cup winner scored the first for City in the 51st minute. The goal started the story for the defending champions as they scored two in quick succession after that. Erling Haaland who didn’t score in 6 English Premier League games, name himself on the scoresheet in 53rd minute. Winger Riyad Mahrez finished off the game by scoring in the 63rd and 90th minute.

Manchester City are now 5 points behind Arsenal and would want Manchester United to beat them this weekend.
