Arsenal has beaten Watford with three goals in hand to climb a fourth place on the ladder of the Premier League table having two games in hand over Manchester United. Even though the Gunners only had four efforts on target, they continued throughout the game with pace and quality.

Martin Odegaard and Saka have been brilliant in their run with Arsenal and Saka were involved in all three goals secured by the team. “Every game we have the mentality that it is a cup final”, said Bukayo Saka in the post-match interview as he has become one of only two players under 21 to score eight goals in one of Europe’s top five leagues this season.

Whereas the hornets remain in the relegation zone despite Emmanuel Dennis trying to score in the first 20 seconds on the offside and Cucho Hernandez’s volley from Kiko Femenia’s cross. But sooner, Arsenal took control of the game when Saka found Alexandre Lacazette who backheeled the ball to finish it high into the net from the inside. They extended their lead after halftime, with Gabriel Martinelli, who powered through from outside the box after manager, Arteta, threw in the ball after its retrieval.

Despite Watford’s efforts to threaten the Gunners for the win with Hernandez at the 11th minute and Sissoko at the end of the game, they were lacking more in terms of cutting edge in front of the goal. Watford still needs three points to pull in the safety position as they plummet to the 19th position in the premier league games since Roy Hodgson’s appointment.
