Remembering The Greatest Of All Time – Muhammad Ali

Here’s remembering Cassius Marcellus Clay jr a.k.a Muhammad Ali, on his 80th birth anniversary.

The cultural icon and a legendary fighter Ali emerged as the greatest of all time. Not just his fights, but his quotes and statements are also as remarkable as his wins. 3-time Heavyweight champion Ali won 56 fights out of his 61 counters. He won his 37 wickets by knockout.

Ali was famous for witty banters and taunting his opponents even before and after the game. Ali took boxing for the first time at the age of 12 when a kid stole his bike. And soon the amateur career turned into one of the best boxing careers of all time. Coach Chuck always appreciated his student Ali for his true dedication and discipline for the sport.

He was also a champion in a social and political cause. As the people aspired and loved him so much, he too love the people around him and was a legend for a reason. Daughter, Hana Ali quoted that he was a man of the people and dedicated his life to the loved and supportive fans. The 3-time heavyweight champion was people’s champion too.

Ali used media to spread messages and awareness and it was surprising as most of the boxers preferred to avoid media and used their managers to go on behalf of them.

Interestingly Ali has received two Grammy nominations, and also acted in movies. He was also suspended from boxing and also stripped of his titles as he refused to fight in the Vietnam War.

His words reflect a sense of motivation with self-belief in ourselves, and Ali’s quotes are always memorable. The quote by legendary Ali is a legacy that lives forever. Some of his inspirational quotes are –

“A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.” – Muhammad Ali

“I am the greatest. I said that even before I knew I was. I figured that if I said it enough, I would convince the world that I really was the greatest.” – Muhammad Ali

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” – Muhammad Ali.
