PCB and Sony begin partnership of three years for Pakistan Super League and International home tours

Sony network will now broadcast Pakistan’s home fixtures as PCB has signed three year deal with SPN i.e. Sony Pictures Networks India to show all games of Pakistan Super League and Pakistan’s home international games.

The upcoming edition of the PSL is scheduled from February 20,2021 with the match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. The chief executive Wasim Khan in a statement said that, “ The PCB welcomes Sony Picture Networks India to the list of broadcasters who will now have rights to Pakistan’s two-sided series and PSL 2021-23. The South-Asian fans will be able to enjoy cricket action of Pakistan through this Partnership.

The Chief Revenue Officer, Distribution and Head- Sports Business, Sony Pictures Network India, Rajesh Kaul said that, “ SPN has received the broadcast right of the PCB for three years. SPN will now air all of Pakistan’s international games along with the Pakistan Super League (PSL). SPN has broadcast rights to total of five international cricket boards.”

However, PCB had also signed partnerships in New Zealand, Caribbean, North America, and the United Kingdom.

Fans will be able to follow the Babar Azam and his side in PSL in North America through Willow TV, Caribbean through Follow Sports, United Kingdom through Sky Sports and in New Zealand through Sky NZ.
