Tokyo Olympics: Germany, France, Argentina, all out from the group stages of men’s football

Big names in football namely Argentina, Germany and France have been eliminated from the group stage of the men’s tournament at the Tokyo Olympics.

Men’s football at the Tokyo Olympics went through a few huge losses on the group stage’s last day that involved giant names like Germany, France and Argentina. France lost to a score of 4-0 failure against hosting country Japan while Argentina drew 1-1 against Spain and under-performing Germans U-23 drew against the Ivory Coast.

Spain, one of the few big nations in the football world despite been prevented by clubs from taking senior players in the squad, the nation managed to stay at the top of Group C to meet Ivory Coast on Saturday who eliminated Germany.


While last group game of France proved to be their end of the journey at Tokyo Games where they got thwarted by 4-0 against Japan. They had also lost their opener against Mexicans. The French team got completely dominated by their opponents where Takefusa Kubo who plays as a winger for the La Liga club Real Madrid scored yet again to give a lead to his side followed by Hiroki Sakai’s to double for his country and lead 2-0 before the halftime.

Koji Miyoshi expanded for 3-0 at the minute 70th and 10 minutes later Daizen Maeda made it 4-0 and empowered his side to record a historic victory at the nation’s field.
