Brazil has again won the gold medal in the Olympics after beating Spain in the final match on Saturday. It was an intense game that ended 1-1 in the normal time, which resulted in the match going on extra time.
Despite the Brazilian from the premier league club Everton, Richarlison missed a penalty, Brazil was 1-0 up in the first 45 minutes. Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha broke the deadlock and gave the lead to Brazil just before halftime.
As soon as the second half started, Spain looked threatening. In the 61st minute, Oyarzabal, the Spanish forward scored an equalizer. Spain substitute Carlos Soler assisted the equalising goal.
The Spanish side was playing very well, also they dominated the possession in the second half of the game. Spain came very close to take the lead but couldn’t manage to score. They hit the woodwork twice. Despite creating so many chances, the game ended 1-1 after full time. Thus, the Tokyo Olympics football final match headed into extra time. In the second half of the extra time, Brazilian and the former Barcelona star forward, Malcolm scored a winner. Brazilian striker came off the bench and helped the Brazilian side retain their gold medal in the Olympics.
