The list for eight finalists who will contend in the event was released on Monday that involved the name of Biles.
The American gymnast had concluded to have propelled the sport to new boundaries. She told that she was struggling with the “twisties”, which means that she was in that situation of gymnasts where they lose the potential to orientate themselves in mid-air.
The four-time Olympic champion had withdrawn from the team’s opening event the previous week after one vault and thereafter she decided to skip from the all-around final and three of the four apparatus finals namely the floor, vault and uneven bars.
Biles arrived at the Japanese capital to seek five gold medals to match the record of the Olympic all-time gymnastics of nine. The superstar had detailed her battles with mental health during the games through her social media handles.
