BCCI announces cash reward of Rs 1crore for Olympic Gold medalist Neeraj Chopra

BCCI the Indian Cricket Board announces prize money for Indian medalists. Neeraj Chopra was announced to get ₹1 cr.

India had a great Olympic season as they surpassed their previous record of highest 6 medals in London 2012 and now they have grabbed 7 medals which include 1 Gold 2 Silver and 4 Bronze and stand at the 47th position in the Medal Tally. Many rewards were decided prior to the Olympics but many were also announced post their performances.

Jay Shah the secretary of BCCI and President of Asian Cricket Council tweeted the News about the Rewards which claimed that the star Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will get ₹1 cr for his exceptional performance and grabbing the Gold Medal whereas our Silver Medalist Mirabai Chanu(Weightlifting) and Ravi Dahiya(Wrestling) will be getting ₹50 lakh each. Also, the Bronze Winners P.V Sindhu(Badminton), Lovlina Boroghain(Boxing) and Bajrang Punia(Wrestling)will be awarded ₹25 lakh each. Also, the Indian Hockey team which grabbed the medal after 41yrs will get ₹1.25cr.

The Haryana government set great examples for the Country to create Sports stars from their soil and their rewards say so as Haryana Government announced the reward of ₹6 cr to Neeraj Chopra along with an A grade Government Job and a plot under HSVP at a concessional rate.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced the reward of ₹50 lakh to all those players who secured 4th position and ₹10 lakh will be given to all the participants. Ravi Dhaiya to get ₹4 cr along with A grade job and HSVP plot on the concessional rate. Bajrang Punia to get ₹2.5 cr with a B grade Government Job and an Indoor wrestling Stadium will be built in his Village
