Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra has been announced as the new brand ambassador of Tata AIA Life Insurance today. He has signed a multi-year deal with which is aiming to promote health and wellness among their policyholders and going deeper into the tier II and III markets.
Tata AIA has stated that the association with Chopra, which will be a multi-year brand partnership, also will mark the first time he has signed such a deal post his gold medal-winning feat at the Tokyo Olympics.
The javelin thrower earned the gold medal by registering an attempt of 86.65 metres which made him win the event.
Neeraj Chopra, for the next few years, will support Tata AIA’s attempts to present best-in-class life protection and health and wellness solutions to its consumers across the country. As we have seen during the COVID-19 Pandemic, there is a need for health and life insurance more than ever.
Tata AIA has stated that premium-to-GDP penetration is less than 3.5 per cent. This statistic underlines a need to fast-track the insurance journey in the country hence bringing Chopra on board will inspire people to be fit and healthy alongside that he will help in penetrating into Tier-II and III cities.
