Is Bronny James playing in Summer League?

Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed that both Bronny James and Dalton Knecht will be hitting the courts for Summer League action. James, the highly anticipated newcomer, is slated to make his NBA debut on July 6, when the Lakers take on the Kings as part of the California Classic Summer League in San Francisco.

Following their stint in the California Classic, LA will head to the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas, where they’ll continue to showcase their young talent. During these events, James is expected to get plenty of playing time, potentially logging at least seven games in total. However, whether he suits up for every contest remains uncertain, as the Lakers carefully manage his debut season on the professional stage.
