Top 5 storylines going into NBA before season resumes tomorrow

The NBA season is going to resume tomorrow and here are the top 5 storylines you need to know about.

With the NBA season resuming tomorrow, here are the top 5 storylines you should be aware of:

1] The first story we are going to talk about is Chris Paul’s (CP3) injury. The Point God injured his right thumb against the Houston Rockets on 17th February. The injury was reported to be an avulsion fracture of the right thumb by Allie LaForce of TNT. The injury puts CP3 out of action for at least 6 weeks. With their floor general out it will be interesting to see how the Suns hold onto the 1 seed.

2] The second story has a very close relation to the first. It is the return of Draymond Green to action for the Golden State Warriors. The point-forward has been out due to a back injury and is scheduled to returning 3-4 weeks. While the Warriors have continued to win despite his absence there are games that they really could have used him. With Draymond coming back and CP3 out for the Suns, the Warriors could threaten the Suns and take the 1 seed from them.

3] The third story is LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have struggled throughout the season and with Anthony Davis out of action, the remainder of the season looks bleak. But if there is one man that can turn it around for the Lakers, it is LeBron James. The Lakers have played some really good defence over the last 2 games and seem to have started to figure it out. The question is whether it will be enough to take them all the way to the NBA Finals.

4] The fourth story is about the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers are currently the 3rd seed in the East. They are being led by the frontrunner for the MVP award in Joel Embiid. With all the drama that surrounded the sixers, it is impressive that they have managed to be this competitive. Now with the addition of James Harden, the 76ers are one of the favourites to win the East. With 2 of the best scorers in the league paired up and Joel playing the best basketball he has ever played, all eyes are on Harden to see if he can help them reach the top.

5] The last story is about the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are the biggest ‘What if?’ teams right now. Kevin Durant is injured, Ben Simmons needs conditioning and mental stability while Kyrie Irving is unable to play home games right now. With the vaccine mandates set to change in a few weeks and both Ben and KD returning to play, it will be exciting to see the 3 superstars in Brooklyn. The Nets are currently the 8 seed in the east and trust me when I say, no team at the top wants to see them in the 1st round of the playoffs.
