The Golden State Warriors defeats Boston Celtics in Game Six of the NBA Finals to clinch the 2022 NBA title.

The Golden State Warriors led by sharpshooter Stephen Curry won Game six of the 2022 NBA finals against the Boston Celtics 103-90 to make the series 4-2 in Boston. By winning this year’s title, the Warriors have now won their 4th NBA championship in the last 8 years. The Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP award was received by Stephen Curry for his outstanding performances throughout the series. Curry averaged 31.2 points in this series. This is his first time winning the NBA Finals MVP award.

Game six of the NBA Finals saw the Warriors ease past the Celtics in a very comfortable manner. Stephen Curry took over this 103-90 win by having 34 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists while shooting 12 out of 21 from the field. He had 6 three-pointers as well. Draymond Green had a huge game with 12 points and 12 rebounds making it a double-double. Andrew Wiggins had a very good overall series performance. He had 18 points this game.

For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown’s 34 points go in vain as he did not have any other player to back him up to force the series to a game seven. Jayson Tatum and the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart had not produced anything spectacular to grab the game away from the dominant Warriors.

This is their 7th NBA title after winning it in 1947, 1956, 1975, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022. Out of these titles, 4 of them were won since 2015 showing what sort of an impact Stephen Curry and coach Steve Kerr had on this team. With this title win, the Warriors overtake the Chicago Bulls who have 6 NBA titles to their name.
