Phoenix Suns win their 10th straight game, defeat Luka-less Mavs by 7 points

Devin Booker led the Suns with 24 points and the point god CP3 recorded 14 assists to win against Luka-less Mavericks by 105-98.

The Mavericks decided to take Doncic out of the lineup during the day to give his ailing left knee and ankle some time to recuperate. He is doubtful to participate in Friday’s rematch against the Suns.

With 24 points, Booker led six Suns in double digits on a night when Phoenix overcame the Mavericks’ 50 per cent three-point shooting and a 48-39 disparity in points off threes. Ayton had a game-high-tying 13 rebounds to go along with 19 points, while Paul had a game-high 14 assists to go along with only seven points.

For the Suns, who trailed by as many as eight points in the third quarter, Crowder (14 points), Landry Shamet (11 points), Mikal Bridges (10), and JaVale McGee (10) all scored in double figures.
The Mavericks, who have now lost two of their last seven games, were led by Tim Hardaway Jr.’s 22 points and Kristaps Porzingis’ 21 points. Hardaway, Frank Ntilikina, who finished with 13 points off the bench, and Dorian Finney-Smith, who scored exclusively from beyond the arc, each had three of Dallas’ 16 three-pointers.

The Mavericks were led by Dwight Powell, who had 13 rebounds to match Ayton’s total, while Brunson had 18 points and Trey Burke had 10. With nine rebounds and a team-high nine assists, Brunson came close to a double- and triple-double.

Booker in the 4th quarter with 50 seconds left iced the game with his clutch 3 pointers to lead the Suns to their 10 straight win, which is as of now the longest streak in the 2021/22 NBA season.
