Our very own Ranveer Singh plays in the Celebrity All-Star game

The Bollywood superstar represented our country and was a part of the winning team as well.

The Celebrity All-Star game has been a part of the All-Star weekend festivities since the 2002-2003 season and has been a fan favourite ever since. The game involves celebrities from all over the world coming and hooping against each other. This time we had a representative from India in Ranveer Singh who played in the game as a part of Team Walton.

The 2 teams were led by NBA Hall of Famers Bill Walton and Dominique Wilkins with ESPN commentators and former players Richard Jefferson and Kendrick Perkins as assistant coaches. Ranveer was a part of Team Walton that won the game 65-51. Team Walton was led by Cleveland native and rapper Machine Gun Kelly while Team Nique was led by the defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, Myles Garrett.

Team Walton dominated the matchup throughout the game and went into the second half with a 16 point lead. The team had celebrities like Machine Gun Kelly, Rapper Quavo, and our very own Ranveer Singh. But the star for Team Walton was peloton instructor, Alex Toussaint who took home the Celebrity All-Star game MVP and scored 18 points.

Team Nique had the Mayor of Cleveland-Justin Bibb on their team, Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, Rapper Jack Harlow and for the first time in the history of the Celebrity All-Star game, an Olympic high jump champion was a part of the event in Gianmarco Tamberi. Gianmarco brought his incredible hops to the game and had an iconic putback dunk which was probably the best play in the game.

Ranveer Singh was appointed the ambassador for NBA India this year. The superstar went to Cleveland to be a part of the game and said he wanted to shed light on Indian cinema through basketball as well. The superstar shocked the ESPN commentators with how popular he was with Cassidy Hubbarth mentioning how the arena had erupted when he came onto the court and the fact that the actor had 38.4 million followers. The star was benched most of the game but did end up winning and represented us in the best way he could.
