The Phoenix Suns lead series 2-0 after an incredible performance from Deandre Ayton against the Los Angeles Clippers in a 104-103 victory at Western Conference.
After struggling in the initial minutes of the start, the Suns took another victory against the Clippers following their Game 1 Western Conference finals in which Devin Booker contributed 40-13-11 tripple-double that ended 120-114.
Deandre Ayton with one of the loudest dunks in Suns’ history, powered Game 2 and scored his career high 24 points, 14 rebounds, 12-15 shootings and game-winning tip-in with 0-7 left.
On the other side, the LA Clippers gave early 8-2 lead but couldn’t make it due to their inadequacy when Ivica Zubac lost a lob from Marcus Morris that led to a turnover to cost them and Phoenix took the advantage of Ivica’s inconsistency.
Phoenix resumed to score while LA’s shooting kept them in the game. Before start of the fourth, Devin Booker and Patrick Beverley had to leave the game for the locker room following a bloody collision between the two after they got a little desperate and aggressive. Booker was then back in and contributed for his side’s lead while Beverley stayed on the bench. American professional, Booker with a swallon nose attempted seven free throws in the fourth quarter and continued to score.
In the final play of the game, Jae Crowder Inbounded to Ayton for the dunk and put the Suns 2-0 up in the series.
The Phoenix Suns, who eliminated the defending champs Los Angeles Lakers in Game 6, has now won 9 straight NBA Playoffs games.
