NBA Finals: Celtics win Game 3 against Warriors to go 2-1 up in series

The Celtics got the better of the Warriors by defeating them 116-100 in Boston.

Boston Celtics takes a commanding victory over the Golden State Warriors by taking them down 116-100 in Game 3 of the 2022 NBA Finals which took place in Boston. By winning this game, the Celtics have retaken the lead of the series and are up 2-1 now against the Warriors.

The Boston Celtics duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum put up a performance in which they were in a league of their own. Brown had 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists while Tatum had 26 points and 9 assists. and 6 rebounds. Also, the performances of Marcus Smart, who had 24 points and 5 assists and Robert Williams who had 10 rebounds and 4 blocks proved to be crucial for the Boston Celtics in their Game 3 win against the Golden State Warriors.

On the other hand, Stephen Curry leads the Warriors in scoring by having 31 points and a total of 6 three-pointers. Klay Thompson had a solid game by scoring 25 points and 5 three-pointers but all this effort from the Warriors did not pay off. The size of the Celtics squad created a lot of trouble for the comparatively smaller Warriors team. Celtics had more rebounds, more second-chance points and more points in the paint than the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors desperately need to win Game 4 against the Boston Celtics to come back in the series.
