NBA Academy player Princepal Singh is thrilled to join the NBA Summer League

The former NBA Academy Indian says it’s a dream come true experience about his entire NBA journey as he followed the footsteps of his academy teammate Satnam Singh.

Indian NBA Academy star Princepal Singh has made a name of his own by being the second Indian basketball player to join the NBA Summer League after Satnam Singh. The former Punjabi basketball player started his career in 2017 as he bagged the oppurtunity to join the NBA Academy in India. In the year 2018, he got transferred to the NBA Global Academy for 2 straight years. 2020 marks the year, where Princepal Singh became the first NBA Academy Graduate to sign with the NBA G League as well as the first NBA academy India graduate to make his mark in a summer league game. Princepal Singh has made his debut appearance for Sacramento Kings on 9th August against Washington Wizards.

After Princepal Singh was selected in the California Classic event, the former Sacramento player was retained ahead of the Las Vegas Summer Tournament. Team Coach Bobby Jackson had  awarded Princepal a wonderful opportunity to showcase his talent and excellence on the court. He was drafted by Sacramento Kings in the year 2015 of the NBA Auctions, as Princepal got an golden chance to play in the NBA summer league the year after that. In his recent interview, the 6 feet 9 inch Indian said “It is a great experience to play against the top players in Summer League. They are all NBA players, who have been drafted. Lot of learning and my game is improving” as he proves to be a talented NBA player.

Princepal Singh looks to provide a major attacking position for the Sacramento Kings as he looks forward to showcase his skills and talent in the upcoming NBA season. The former Indian started his training career at the NBA Noida Academy for 18 months as he worked harder and progressed after making his exceptional debut against Washington Wizards where he was featured for 2 minutes and 22 seconds as they took the victory 89-75 against Washington Wizards.
