Milwaukee Bucks destroys Chicago Bulls at home

Bucks move to No. 2 seed but have played one more game than the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Milwaukee Bucks destroyed the Chicago Bulls at home, beating them 126-98. Giannis Antetokounmpo only played 30 minutes and had 25 points and 17 rebounds in the game. The Bulls have an 0-14 record against the top 3 teams in either conference after the loss. The team has been unable to perform well against teams that have a winning percentage of more than 0.600.

The win takes the Bucks to the 2 seed but it might be short-lived because the Philadelphia 76ers have played one less game than the bucks. The 76ers play the Lakers tomorrow and if Joel Embiid is playing, the Lakers’ lack of size could give them the easy win. The Bucks had a total of 7 players in double digits and were led by Jrue Holiday’s 27 points. Giannis only played 30 minutes and scored 25 points. It does hurt his stake for the scoring title as he is averaging 29.8 points right now.

The loss against the Bucks hurts the Bulls a lot. The Bulls have not only fallen to the top teams in the league consistently but have also fallen in the Eastern Conference standings. Yes, they are missing Lonzo Ball but with star power the likes of DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine, the team should be in a better position even if they are short one player. The Bulls are currently the 5 seed and are only one game ahead of the 6 seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Bucks were a player short as well with Khris Middleton not playing due to a wrist injury. They still rallied as a team and blew the Bulls out. The Milwaukee Bucks are the reigning defending champions and it looks like the road through the Eastern Conference goes through Milwaukee. They have gotten Brook Lopez back and have a rim protector now. The addition is big-time and makes the Bucks a better team defensively and offensively.
