LeBron James with another 50 point to power Lakers a stunning victory

The King becomes the only player 35 or older to have multiple 50+ point games.

LeBron James is taking a book out of Michael Jordan’s book here. It looks like the King heard the boos in LA against the Clippers and ‘took it personally’. LeBron has had back-to-back 50 point games at the Crypto.com arena and is the first to do it since Kobe in 2007. LeBron scored 50 on 18/25 shots. He was also close to making history by becoming the only player to achieve 30000 points, 10000 rebounds, and 10000 assists in NBA history but he fell 2 assists short and that monumental moment will have to wait.

LeBron and the Lakers came out with great energy and played some great defence as well. They were down 7 points at the end of the half but any time LeBron scores 50 you have to help him win the game. LeBron had 17 points at the half and most of his scoring came in the second half. He scored 19 points in the 3rd quarter and 14 in the 4th quarter for a total of 33 points in the second half. LeBron scored his 14th 50 point game and is tied with Rick Barry at 6th all-time on the list.

While the Lakers have struggled throughout the season and they have been a very bad team, the silver lining has been LeBron James. LeBron in his 19th season, at the age of 37 is having a historically great season. There has been no superstar, not even Michael Jordan, who has performed at this level in their 19th season. LeBron is currently averaging 29+ points and is only below Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid who are at the top of the list. Both players are MVP candidates and LeBron’s MVP case is hurt by his team’s poor performance.

With the 50 point game, LeBron is just 135 points away from tying Karl Malone on the All-time Regular season scoring list. The King is on his way to making history this season. In his next game, he will become the only one to have 30000 points, 10000 rebounds, and 10000 assists. In the next 5-6 games at the most, he will catch Karl Malone and in the next season, he is going to cross Kareem Abdul Jabbar. While his GOAT status is constantly debated, LeBron James is the greatest all-around player of all time!
