Kevin Durant has officially requested the Brooklyn Nets to be traded away from the team. The decision was made by him just hours before the NBA free agency started on Thursday. Durant who has won two NBA rings is one of the best players in the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets were left in shock after this news. The club now would be looking to receive the best trade offers for him to benefit in some manner from this trade. The main team Durant is aiming to move to will be the Phoenix Suns.

With this trade, the Nets will now be ready to trade for any of their players and now Kyrie Irving is another big name who is rumoured to be such speculations. Irving is heavily linked to Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers will be looking to get Irving in a trade which will also include trading away their point guard Russell Westbrook. Westbrook who is a former MVP had a very disastrous last season with the Lakers and they would be looking to get rid of him as well.

With Durant officially requesting to move away from the Brooklyn Nets, they no longer will try to become a title-contending club and now will be looking to rebuild their team from scratch by trying to get maximum deal out of their players now. So a deal that might include Irving going to the Lakers is very much possible.

The Phoenix Suns would be stacked if they will be able to rope in Kevin Durant. The championship-winning mentality of Durant is the only piece left for the Suns to win an NBA title. With Chris Paul and Devin Booker already in Suns, they will surely be looking and trying their maximum to get the two times finals MVP Kevin Durant.
