The Suns’ hadn’t lost since October 27 and it was their 2nd consecutive game without their star player Devin Booker who was forced to be out following a hamstring injury against the Golden State Warriors in their previous meet. This victory of the Warriors’ was their 11th consecutive home win. Deandre Ayton tied with the Warriors’ star Curry’s 23 points for the Suns and still couldn’t help his side.
Meanwhile, on the other side, the Lakers for whom the season has not been going so well lose to the Los Angeles Clippers in their first clash of the season where Marcus Morris Sr. made 21 points which were season-high for him. Paul George and Luke Kennard added 19 points each for their side’s win that involved Kennard’s two late 3-pointers and Reggie Jackson contributed with 16. The triumph against the Lakers ended the clippers’ three-game losing streak. Coming back from skipping the previous match following COVID-19 protocol, LeBron James made 23 points with 11 rebounds while Anthony Davis contributed with 27 points and 10 rebounds but that wasn’t enough to surpass the opposing team. King James was forced to be out in the Lakers’ previous match due to a positive COVID-19 test.
