Following Pistons, Houston Rockets ended to number second followed by Cleveland Cavaliers at the third, Toronto Raptors at fourth, Orlando Magic at fifth. Pistons had never been moved up in the lottery with their pick, previously. They were last drafted for number 1 overall in the year 1970, the time Bob Lanier was drafted Hall of Fame by the organisation.

The draft will take place on July 29 unlike last year’s event in the fall. Cade Cunningham might be selected to be the first pick as he appeared to be heading to the Motor City.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors moved up. Cavaliers already have a pair of dribblers with accurate passing skills in Darius Garland and Collin Sexton but can’t afford to pass on Suggs’ who is outstanding with his passing abilities and is intangible defensively. He brings competition into the game with the intensity and his spirit

Toronto Raptors jumped ahead into the fourth spot after a very strenuous season of being assailed with injuries. The team had to play in Tampa, Florida.

Apart from round out of top five, other NBA Draft lottery results are namely, the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors (via Minnesota Timberwolves), Orlando Magic (via Chicago Bulls), Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Charlotte Hornets, San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors at number 14.
