Australian star Ben Simmons was thrown out of practice by their coach Doc Rivers due to reluctance to practice physically and mentally and suspension came shortly after it. 3 times all NBA defence wanted out after the loss against the Hawks in the Eastern conference, he had a very disappointing series especially from the line where he was far worse than Centers like Shaq. After the game, many players pointed out his lack of offensive mindset and passing an open dunk because of fear of shooting free throws.
Doc and Embiid pointed their fingers towards and since then their relationship has been shattered into pieces. Ben asked for a trade and declined to join the practice, media day, and also NBA games and cut all his connections to the franchise. His agent Rich Paul who is a friend of LeBron James has been in contact and tried to trade Simmons to another team.
Even after all the drama and rejected offers by the Sixers, they couldn’t get a deal that was worthy enough to send Ben. His exceptional defence and passing ability bring a lot to the table. Finally, 3 times all-star joined the practice but his intentions were different, he was not wearing their team’s jersey, he was sluggish, reluctant, and didn’t participate in practice, which led to Doc River throwing him out of the practice which was later followed by suspension.
Simmons’ reluctance to physically and mentally engage with the Sixers since his return has been a consistent theme, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/bG1Cs2EuZ4
