Jasmine Lamboria confirms 5th boxing medal at Commonwealth Games 2022

Jasmine as she advanced to the semifinals of the women’s 60 kg competition in Birmingham after winning a split decision over Troy of New Zealand.

Boxer Jasmine Lamboria wins with a score of 4-1 against Garton Troy of New Zealand to go to the 60 kg quarterfinals and guarantee a fifth boxing medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

India is now in seventh place in the gold medal standings with only 5 gold, 6 silver, and 7 bronze to its name after six days of competition. The team would aim to win more medals on the seventh day since India’s medal events for the day would be athletics, para-athletics, and powerlifting.

Earlier, Amit Panghal guaranteed India a medal and moved on to the men’s 51 kg flyweight semifinal. He defeated Lennon Mulligan of Scotland with a score of 5-0.
