Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with Igor Tudor over a deal that would see the Croatian take charge as interim manager until the end of the current season, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The former Juventus head coach is reportedly ready to accept a short-term contract, with negotiations progressing positively between both parties. Tottenham are keen to stabilise their campaign following recent struggles and believe Tudor’s experience in Serie A and European football could provide immediate structure and discipline to the squad.
Tudor has built a reputation for his tactical flexibility and high-intensity approach. During his time at Juventus, he worked as an assistant coach before later taking senior managerial roles at clubs such as Hellas Verona, Marseille and Lazio.
Spurs view him as a suitable short-term solution who can oversee the remainder of the season while the club prepares for a permanent managerial appointment in the summer.
However, Tottenham are already drawing up a shortlist for a long-term successor. Romano reports that Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino are among the leading candidates for the permanent role.
