David Raya has come out in support of Mikel Arteta after Arsenal suffered back-to-back disappointments in domestic competitions.

The Gunners endured a difficult period, first losing the Carabao Cup Final last weekend. That setback was followed by a shock exit from the FA Cup, where they were beaten by Championship side Southampton.

Speaking after the defeats, Raya made it clear that the dressing room continues to trust the manager and his coaching staff. He stressed that Arteta and his team play a major role in guiding the squad through difficult moments.

Raya said that the coaching staff understand exactly what the players need, especially after losses. He admitted that Arsenal have lost two important games, but insisted the team remains focused on improving and responding strongly.

The goalkeeper’s comments come at a time when questions are being raised about Arsenal’s ability to deliver in key cup matches. Despite strong performances in other competitions, the recent exits have dented hopes of silverware.

Raya’s message, however, signals unity within the squad. He highlighted that setbacks are part of the season and that the team is already working to correct mistakes.
