Juventus have confirmed their intention to continue negotiations over a new contract for head coach Luciano Spalletti, reaffirming their long-term faith in the Italian tactician despite a dramatic exit from the Champions League.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Juventus will keep working on a new deal for Spalletti, a stance that has remained unchanged since January. The club’s Director of Football, Giorgio Chiellini, publicly underlined the importance of the renewal talks, insisting that Spalletti’s future has never been in doubt.
“New deal for Luciano Spalletti has never been in doubt. It’s among our priorities. We will meet soon to discuss deal details,” Chiellini told Sky, highlighting the board’s confidence in the manager’s project and long-term vision.
However, Juventus’ European campaign ended in disappointment after a thrilling but costly playoff tie against Galatasaray. The Italian giants were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League following a dramatic 7-5 aggregate defeat. While Juventus managed to win the second leg 3-2 in Turin, the damage had already been done after conceding heavily in the first leg, leaving them short of qualification.
