Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has strongly criticised conditions in FC Barcelona’s city after claiming his team bus windows were once again damaged during their visit.
Speaking to Movistar, Simeone did not hold back. He said such incidents are not new and have become a pattern whenever Atletico travel to Barcelona. The Argentine coach described the situation as a wider societal issue rather than a one-off event.
“Every time we come to Barcelona, they break our bus windows. It is always the same,” Simeone said. His comments reflect growing frustration within the Atletico camp over repeated security concerns during away fixtures at the Catalan club.
Simeone further added that the problem goes beyond football rivalry. “The society is the problem. We cannot improve it. It is not an isolated case. It is what usually happens when we come here and it happened again,” he stated.
