Dennis Hauger wins the Formula 3 Drivers’ World Championship in the final round of the F3 season at Sochi in the 2021 Russian Grand Prix. Hauger placed second to put himself beyond touching distance from his nearest championship rival Jack Doohan. Doohan failed to score any points in F3’s Race 1 after a bad start that put him in the middle of the pack to eventually finish  P15.

Hauger started in P4 to move up the field to take P2 and claimed more than a 6 point advantage from Doohan after leaving Round 6 in Vandervoort at the Dutch Grand Prix with a championship lead of 43 points. The team of Prema look to seal another season with another Constructors Championship to their name but the second-placed team of Trident could still make the final push with the final two races of the 2021 F3 season.

Logan Sargeant took the checkered flag for the first time this season for Charouz while feeling the pressure of the latest F3 champion who finished only 0.4 seconds behind him.   MP Motorsport’s Victor Martins claimed the final podium spot to finish P3 while his teammate Caio Collet finished P4. Doohan had a race to forget after starting 12th on the grid and falling to 15th with a bad start after hitting the sausage Kerb at turn 4. This saw the Australian driver lose another position to Prema’s Olli Caldwell.
