Zimbabwe to host India for five-match T20I series in July

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced that they will host India for a five-match T20I series in July. All matches will take place at the Harare Sports Club, with the series kicking off within a week after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup.

In a statement, ZC expressed their delight at the confirmation of the tour after productive discussions with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The primary objective of the series is to strengthen bilateral ties and foster collaboration between the two cricketing boards.

Mr. Tavengwa Mukuhlani, Chairman of ZC, expressed his excitement, calling the series Zimbabwe’s biggest international attraction at home this year. He thanked the BCCI for committing to tour Zimbabwe once again and emphasized the significance of the series in Zimbabwe’s efforts to establish themselves as a competitive force in the cricketing world.

BCCI Honorary Secretary Mr. Jay Shah highlighted the board’s commitment to supporting fellow member boards during periods of rebuilding. He stated that the BCCI’s dedication to touring and supporting other cricketing nations reflects their goal of bringing positive transformation to the global cricketing landscape.
