Yuzvendra Chahal back to India’s T20 squad against New Zealand

Yuzvendra Chahal is selected for for India T20 squad which will face New Zealand at Jaipur.

Indian leg-spinner was axed from Indian squad for T20 World Cup In Dubai. For last few years, Chahal was the forefront for wrist spin revolution in Indian team. Chahal’s performance was  good in IPL . The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) under the selection committee chairmanship of Chetan Sharma, announced 15 member squad on Tuesday, which will face New Zealand in three match T20 series beginning November 17 at Jaipur.

The upcoming series would also mark the return of India’s Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who was earlier dropped from the 15 member Team India 2021 T20 World cup squad. The BCCI dropped Rahul Chahar from the squad after he played for India in T20 World Cup against Namibia. One day before the leg-spinner joined the bubble in Rajasthan, Chahal about learnings of the past year.

Chahal said as reported by TOI, “I was not dropped in four years and then I got dropped for such a marquee event. I felt really bad as I down for two three days.”

Chahal was not selected in the T20 World Cup 2021. It was a surprising decision by the selectors as per many Indian fans. It seemed that Indian cricket team really missed the RCB’s star bowler in this T20 World Cup.
