Yuvraj Singh posts ambiguous post on Instagram; hints at return from retirement

Yuvraj Singh was the player of the tournament in 2011 when India won their second ODI World Cup. In that world cup, he contributed with both bat and ball in hand to win his side the trophy.

The former Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh has posted an ambiguous post on his social media account which has gotten the fans around buzzing. The 39-year old shared in a late-night post on Instagram, shared a clip of his last international century for India. In that inning, he smashed 150 against England in 2017. What has captivated everyone’s attention is the caption to the post which read: On public demand il be back on the pitch hopefully in February! Ain’t nothing like this feeling!” The context of return however remains unclear, as there’s no clarity about the fact that he will be contending for a spot in the Indian Cricket team.

Yuvraj Singh was the player of the tournament in 2011 when India won their second ODI World Cup. In that world cup, he contributed with both bat and ball in hand to win his side the trophy.  He was also a very important part of the 2007 side which won the inaugural ICC T20 World CUP. The allrounder decided to hang up his boots in 2019. He retired from all formats, but recently there were some talks about him returning to the domestic circuit for Punjab. Yuvraj was also named in the 2020-21 squad of Punjab for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, but he did not play.

After retiring the left-handed allrounder was seen playing in different leagues all around the world, like Abu Dhabi T10 and Road Safety World Series. In his long international career, Yuvraj represented India in 304 ODIs and 40 tests, in which he scored a cumulative total of 10,601 runs. He also took 111 wickets in ODI cricket.
