Addressing the query about their camaraderie, Yuvraj clarified that while they were teammates, they were never close friends outside the cricketing sphere.

When asked about his bond with Dhoni, Yuvraj chose to tread the diplomatic path, emphasizing that he aimed to maintain a politically correct stance, a gesture he believed Dhoni would reciprocate. Yuvraj shed light on their association, stating that their friendship was solely founded on their shared experiences on the cricket field.
“Let me be politically correct, because if you ask Mahi, he will be politically correct. Me and Mahi are not close friends; we were friends because of cricket; we played together. My lifestyle was very different from his, so we were never close friends, just because of cricket,” Yuvraj Singh revealed on the TRS podcast, dispelling any rumors about an off-field friendship beyond their professional engagements.
