WTC Final: Cricket Australia praises Scott Boland’s delivery as a ‘Masterpiece’ for Shubman Gill’s dismissal

Cricket Australia recently shared a captivating image on Twitter, showcasing the dismissal of Indian opener Shubman Gill during their first innings against Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The picture depicted the trajectory of Scott Boland’s delivery, which led to Gill being clean bowled.

In a tweet, Cricket Australia described the delivery as a “masterpiece.” Gill, who had misjudged the delivery, left it assuming it would not hit the stumps, resulting in his departure after scoring 13 runs from 15 deliveries.

Boland sent back in-form batter Shubman Gill for 13 runs. Shubman didn’t expect that delivery from Boland who are playing in the game for Australia in place of injured Josh Hazlewood. Shubman Gill was stunned after his dismissal and it was a huge blow for India. Both the openers are back to pavilion and with this huge total on the board, Indian batters will need to have momentum and a good partnership in the game.
