Bharti Fulmali, who entered the WPL 2026 auction with a base price of Rs 30 lakh, attracted strong interest as Mumbai Indians made the final bid of Rs 70 lakh. However, Gujarat Giants immediately exercised their Right to Match (RTM) option to retain the India batter for the same amount.
Fulmali was previously part of the Gujarat Giants setup in WPL 2025, where she was retained for Rs 10 lakh. With the RTM activated, she continues with the franchise for another season despite Mumbai’s aggressive attempt to acquire her.
The middle-order batter has also represented Delhi Capitals in WPL 2024 before moving to Gujarat last season.
