Indian cricket team has won the second and the last Test match of the series against Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla stadium on Sunday, 25th December. This is a good Christmas gift for Indian team as they have now moved up to the second position in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-2023.
Indian cricket team is just behind Australia who is on top of the table for long now. The Indian team sealed the series by 2-0 against Bangladesh in their home. Bangladesh nearly clinched the victory in the second Test match as they dismissed 7 of the Indian batters under 80 runs. A wonderful partnership by Shreyas Iyer and Ravi Ashwin helped India to clinch this victory and series as well.
Bangladeshi bowlers did well especially in the fourth innings but that didn’t give them the points they wanted in WTC. Indian team will now be playing a three match ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka which is starting from 3rd January next year.
