Who were team India’s jersey sponsors over the years?

The fantasy gaming platform Dream11 is all set to be the new jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team replacing the edtech company BYHU’S. Indian cricket was without a sponsor on their jersey during the WTC finals.

After the exit of BYJU’S in March 2023, BCCI invited closed bids for the sponsorship and Dream11 bagged the sponsorship till 2027 for 358 Crores. The fantasy gaming platform Dream11 had already sponsored the IPl 2020 edition after Vivo pulled out and some key Indian Cricket players are brand ambassadors for the gaming platform. The Indian cricket team will be wearing the new sponsor’s jerseys during the upcoming WI tour.

The Indian cricket had various sponsors with Sahara being the longest from 2002 to 2013. After Sahara took the exit, Star came on board as the new sponsor from 2014 to 2017, after Star, the Chinese phone manufacturing company OPPO came in as a sponsor from 2017-2019, and after OPPO, the edtech giants BYJU’S came in from 2019 to March 2023 after which now Dream11 has been named as the new sponsor.

It has been reported that the BCCI will to earn as much from Dream11 as it earned from BYJU’S. With BYJU’S, BCCI was earning INR 5.5 crores INR for every bilateral series and INR 1.7 crores from every ICC game
