1. Rohit Sharma
The Indian opener Rohit Sharma is a right-handed batsman. He scored 264 runs, which is the highest score by an individual in ODI. His 264 runs off 173 balls was against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Rohit Sharma made his ODI debut on June 23 2007 against Ireland.
2. Martin Guptill
The Kiwi (New Zealand) opener Martin Guptill is a right-handed batsman. He scored 237 runs off 163 balls against West Indies in Wellington, New Zealand in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. Martin had made his ODI debut on January 10 2009 against West Indies.
3. Virender Sehwag
Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was a right-handed batsman. He scored 219 runs off 146 balls against West Indies in ODI. He had made his ODI debut on April 1, 1999, against Pakistan.
4. Chris Gayle
The West Indies opener Chris Gayle is also known as “Universe Boss”. He is a left-handed batsman. He scored 215 runs off 147 balls against Zimbabwe in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. The Universe Boss had made his ODI debut on September 11, 1999, against India.

6. Sachin Tendulkar
Former Indian batsman and legend Sachin Tendulkar, known as “The God of Cricket” was a right-handed batsman. He scored his maiden 200 runs off 147 balls against South Africa. The legend has scored 100 centuries and one double century in his career. He had made his debut in ODI cricket on December 18, 1989, against Pakistan.
7. Saeed Anwar
Former Pakistan left-handed batsman Saeed Anwar had scored 194 runs off 155 balls against India. He had made his ODI debut on January 1, 1989, against West Indies.
8. Charles Coventry
Former Zimbabwe batsman Charles Coventry was a right-handed batsman, He scored 194 runs off 146 deliveries against Bangladesh. Charles had made his ODI debut on July 6, 2003, against England.
9. Martin Guptill
Once again the Blackcaps opener Martin Guptill made his spot on the highest individual score list. He smashed 189 runs off 159 deliveries against England in ODI.
10. Sir Vivian Richards
The batting legend and former West Indies skipper Sir Vivian Richards was a right-handed batsman. He had scored 189 runs off 170 balls. Sir Vivian Richards had made his ODI debut on June 7, 1975, against Sri Lanka.
