West Indies veteran Chanderpaul to continue coaching USA for ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup

Shivnarine Chanderpaul, a former captain of the West Indies and a recent inductee into the ICC Hall of Fame, will be in charge when the USA begin their inaugural ICC Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup campaign next month. Following the release of their 15-player squad on Wednesday, Chanderpaul, who was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame last month, will continue in his position as coach of the USA Women’s Under 19 team for the tournament in South Africa next month.

The USA will be led by star all-rounder Geetika Kodali. Anika Kolan has been named vice-captain for the 15-day competition, which starts on January 14. The USA has kept 14 of the 15 players who participated in their recent tour of the United Arab Emirates, and 16-year-old batter Taranum Chopra has been added to the squad.
