The original schedule stated the venues as – Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Jaipur for three ODIs and Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, and Thiruvanthapuram for the three T20s, which was scheduled to start from 6th February.

The current situation forced the hosting committee – BCCI to limit the venues from six to just two – Ahmedabad and Kolkata. BCCI revealed in a press release that three ODIs will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad while Eden Gardens are set to host the Windies for three T20s. The reason behind the decision taken by BCCI was that the players and staff involved in the series might have to go through a lot of “biosecurity risks” and by limiting the travel and movement of the teams, match officials, broadcasters, stakeholders, and others involved in the game, the series might run smoothly and comfortably.

The West Indies team will be arriving for the upcoming Paytm Series of “ West Indies Tour of India” soon, as team India too will be returning from South Africa after the last game on January 23.

The revised venues and dates for the upcoming series is: – All three One Day Internationals in Ahmedabad on 6th, 9th, and 11th February while all three T20s in Kolkata on February 16, 18, and 20.
