Both Virat Kohli and SuryaKumar Yadav have been in incredible form in their recent T20Is. Where SuryaKumar has already scored more than 800 runs this year making him the second-best T20I batter in the world, Virat has once again made a promising and fiery comeback during the ICC T20 World Cup with two back-to-back half-centuries.
SuryaKumar Yadav has mentioned about how Virat helps him tackle situations when he is a bit confused at the crease and helps him keep the momentum going.
“It’s a very good camaraderie, and I’m enjoying batting with him right now. He just clears your thoughts. I mean, when I was batting and when I was a little confused when I was inside, he was just coming up to me and telling me what delivery can you expect now from that bowler”, Sky stated on batting with King Kohli.
The pair recently scored an unbeaten partnership of 95 in just 48 balls against the Netherlands in the second game of the ICC T20 World Cup. The win was not only the consecutive win in the tournament but also promoted the team to the first spot in the points table in their Group stage category.
Sky also believes that he and Kohli respects each other’s game and enjoys the company and try to run as hard as possible.
“I feel we respect each other’s game when we are batting together. We just enjoy batting with each other and what shots he plays. We try to run hard as much as possible. So it’s a great thing, and I’m looking forward to having more partnerships with him.”
India will face South Africa in their next game in the World level tournament. It would be exciting to see these two batters once again come together and showcase some extraordinary batting skills in Australia.
