Skipper Rohit Sharma shares his views on the attempted mankad done by Mohammad Shami in the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka which was played in Guwahati, Assam. India won the first ODI by 67 runs to take a lead in the three-match series against Sri Lanka.
After the game, when Rohit Sharma was asked questions in the post-match interview, he revealed that what was India’s reason behind withdrawing the mankad appeal.
“”I had no idea Shami did that, he was batting on 98. The way he batted was brilliant, we cannot get him out like that & wanted to get him out the way we wanted to get him (Shanaka) out,” said Rohit Sharma on the attempted Mankad.
