KL Rahul was the first choice opening partner of Rohit Sharma for the ongoing tournament of ICC T20 World Cup 2022 but has failed to perform well. In the first game against Pakistan, KL scored only 4 runs off 8 balls before getting bowled by Naseem Shah. In a “much easier competition” against Netherlands, KL Rahul failed to perform yet again as he scored just 9 runs off 12 balls. KL not only failed to score runs but couldn’t qualify to bat over the strike rate of 100.

Rahul failed in third match again as he again scored 9 runs off 14 balls against South Africa, which was also the first loss of team India in the ongoing World Cup event. In a video posted by Star Sports, Virat Kohli was seen mentoring KL Rahul which will also give the opening batsman confidence after being guided by one of the greatest.
