Virender Sehwag wages in on Ashwin & Morgan’s altercation

Virender Sehwag takes a dig at the England captain Eoin Morgan after his altercations with Ravichandran Ashwin.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag takes a dig at the England captain Eoin Morgan after his altercations with Ravichandran Ashwin, during the IPL match on Tuesday.

Ashwin and Morgan during the match were found in a heated exchange after the batsman was dismissed by Tim Southee in the last over of the Delhi capitals innings in Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Dinesh Karthik was happy to come between R Ashwin and Morgan to play peacemaker between them stating in his press conference: “at the moment I am happy that I played peacemaker between them and things have come to a good standstill right now”.

Sehwag shared his views on Twitter which was an excerpt from Dinesh Karthik’s press conference.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capital skipper Rishabh Pant said on Star Sports Network, “I think it’s part and parcel of the game because both the teams are striving to win the game so something is going to happen, whatever is good for the game, I think that was in the ‘spirit of the game.”

Rishabh Pant further added, “one shouldn’t read too much into this kind of altercation, in the end, both Ashwin and Morgan are trying to win the game for their teams and there can be some miscommunication between them “.

Former Australian spinner Shane Warne on the other side supported Morgan and felt Ashwin was wrong in picking the second run. Further in his tweet, he stated, “the world should be divided on this topic and Ashwin. It’s disgraceful and should never happen. why does Ashwin have to be the guy again? I think Eoin is right to nail him.”
