- Kohli stands second on the list of most runs as a captain in T20. Kohli has scored 1570 runs with an average of 47.57 and a strike rate of 140.55. Aaron finch tops this list with 1719 runs and is likely to become the first captain to achieve the 2000 run mark and make history.
- Kohli is the only Indian Captain to have won the bilateral T20 series in SENA countries. I.e., South Africa (2018), England (2018), New Zealand (2020), and Australia (2020).
- Kohli led India to 29 victories in T20, which is the second-highest, after MS Dhoni, who led India to 42 wins.
- Kohli is the only Captain to win a series in New Zealand; in Early 2020, India toured New Zealand and clean-swept New Zealand to win the series by 5-0.
- Kohli is also the one who ended India’s winless run against New Zealand in 2017 by winning the match by 53 runs.
