
Virat Kohli has lost his place from the top 10 in the latest ICC Test Rankings while Rishabh Pant who scored a brilliant 146 and a fine 57 powered himself to 5th position, his all-time best. Virat Kohli hasn’t had a decent outing for the last three years and the batsman has again suffered the consequences of his poor form. In the two innings of the re-scheduled 5th Test match, Virat Kohli couldn’t score big – dangling on 11 and 20, respectively. Rishabh Pant climbed his career-best ranking in the Test format, achieving 5th position in the ICC Test Ranking.
Rishabh Pant has been in incredible form in the past Test away and home series. His heroic batting at Gabba led India to their historic away victory against Australia. Joe Root has topped the chart after scoring a brilliant ton to help England chase down a massive target of 378 runs to level the series. Root has attained 923 points to cement his place at the top followed by Marnus Labuschagne at second, Steve Smith at 3rd and Babar Azam at 4th spot.
