Virat Kohli shouldn’t be judged for making this decision says Head coach Ravi Shastri

Indian skipper is all set for the birth of his first child. While he is in Australia right now, he is going to leave the series after the first test in Adelaide. While he has received backlash from many people and ex-cricketers as well for making this call, the head coach of the Indian team Ravi Shastri has came in to support the Indian skipper’s decision.

He said that these moments won’t come again and it is natural for any human to feel this way. Virat feels that he should be with his wife during this time, then everyone should come together and support this decision. While talking about the players who were playing for India when their first child was born, Shastri said that it is individuals call on that. They weren’t playing forcefully, it is each player’s personal call on that and if one player decides to go another way then he shouldn’t be criticised for making that call.

He agreed that losing Virat will be a big blow for India as he has been the player who constantly with his mere presence on the field has changed games for India. But Shastri feels that with Virat gone, it wil be a great opportunity for the young players in the squad to make their mark on the Australian soil.

India will play against the Australian team on 27th November in a 3-match ODI series which will be followed by a 3 -match T20I series and finally will go to the test series which will begin on thr 17th December in Adelaide.
