Virat Kohli breaks down in tears after defeating Pakistan by 4 wickets in a rollester win on Sunday during the super 12 league match in the ICC T20 World Cup.
India won the toss and tried to restrict Pakistan for a challenging total of 159/8. Iftikhar Ahmed (51) and Masood Shan (52*) guided Pakistan after losing their destructive duo in the power play.
The Pakistani seamers kept things tight for India as Naseem Shah and Harris Rauf dismissed Rohit Sharma (4) & KL Rahul (4) followed by in-form SuryaKumar Yadav (15) reducing India to 26 for 3. Unfortunately, because of the miscommunication between Kohli and Axar, India lost their fourth wicket for a low score of 31.
It looked like India was already on the losing side unless Hardik Pandya & Virat Kohli started to get in touch with the bat gradually catching the required run rate.
Virat Kohli turned out to be the ’Cometh of the Hour, Cometh of the man’. Kohli’s 82 off 53 came with a strike rate of 154.72 including six fours and four most required massive sixes.
The match kept bouncing from Pakistan’s end to India’s end and went on till the last ball to face a nail-biting finish resulting in India’s win by four wickets.
